What a waxing appointment includes

Classic wax
Warm wax is spread on the skin and removed with a strip against the direction of hair growth. Works for small and large areas.

Sugaring
A paste of sugar, lemon and water is removed in the direction of hair growth. We suggest it for sensitive skin.

Facial waxing
Used on small areas like the upper lip, chin and cheeks.

How it works
What happens at your appointment
- 1
Prep
The area is cleansed and the skin is checked. If there is redness, a wound or sunburn, we don't wax.
- 2
Application
Wax goes on in a thin layer and is removed. We use single-use spatulas and strips.
- 3
Soothing
We finish with a soothing product. You get a short care note for the next day.

Good to know before your appointment
- You may feel some stinging during waxing; sensitivity varies from person to person and over the month.
- Hair needs to be about a quarter inch long to be removed; don't shave before your appointment.
- For the first day after waxing, we suggest avoiding hot showers, saunas and sun.
- If you have varicose veins, diabetes or a skin condition, tell us at the appointment; we may ask you to check with your doctor.
FAQ
Questions about waxing
Should I shave before waxing?
No. Hair needs to be about a quarter inch long for the wax to grip it. We can't wax an area that's been shaved.
Can I get waxed during my period?
Yes, but you may be more sensitive at that time. For a more comfortable visit, we suggest booking outside your period.
Should I choose classic wax or sugaring?
If your skin is sensitive, sugaring is usually more comfortable. Classic wax is faster on large areas; we'll look at your skin at the appointment and decide together.
